The outer jacket of the fiber optic temperature sensors is made out of PTFE, at the sensor tip a GaAs-crystal (gallium arsenide) is attached. The fiber optic temperature probe is completely non-conductive. The temperature sensor has a temperature range from as low as -200°C to +200°C.
Optocon's fiber optic temperature sensors offer complete immunity to RFI, EMI, NMR and microwave radiation with high temperature operating capability, intrinsic safety, and non-invasive use. The fiber optic temperature probes are also designed to withstand harsh and corrosive environments.
The fiber optic temperature sensor provides accurate, stable and repeatable measurement results.
The sensor cable can be up to several meters long without influencing the accuracy of the measurement result.
