Modular industrial equipment
The new dynamic FiberSensing Industrial BraggSCOPE measurement unit is specially designed to be used in industrial environments to interrogate FBG sensors without the need of any other external devices such as optical source or detection modules.
The Industrial BraggSCOPE module was thought for 24/7 operation. It has a robust compact architecture and features fanless heat dissipation. It can be connected to a remote PC through Ethernet or CAN. For direct interface with other systems, configurable analog outputs are also available.
Dynamic Measurement Unit for FBG Sensors
The proprietary BraggSCOPE technology is based on well-established integrated add/drop WDM components that enable a cost-effective filtering solution for Bragg wavelength measurement within predefined bands at high acquisition rates (up to 2K S/s). The Industrial BraggSCOPE measurement unit also features an intrinsic compensation for optical power fluctuations.
ASE erbium doped fiber source
The FS 2500 module is equipped with a powerful erbium ASE source, which ensures correct operation even with lossy connections or long distances between sensors and unit.
Data acquisition
Up to four sensors can be connected in series to the Industrial BraggSCOPE Measurement Unit in order to perform simultaneous measurements. Real time data from each FBG sensor (time stamp, Bragg wavelength) can be directly accessed using the supplied LabViewTM Driver.
Compatible with iLog
FS 2500 is also compatible with iLog FS 9100, which can be installed on the remote PC. This easy-to-use software interface features built-in datalogger functions such as automated sampling, archiving and transmitting. A high-performance database manages both multiple sensor network configurations and large datasets. Acquired data can also be exported to analysis tools through ExcelTM compatible files.
