RECENDT, the Research Center for Non-Destructive Testing, focuses on research and development of contactless and non-destructive sensor technology, especially in the field of material characterization. Our objective is to make novel technologies useable for industrial application.
One of our main research fields is Photoacoustic Tomography (PAT), more precisely the development of fiber based detectors for PAT. Since we are working with glass fibers as well as polymer optical fibers (POF) we are particularly interested in fiber bragg gratings (FBG) in POF and in POF with reduced attenuation at 1550 nm.
Besides, other research fields are: Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Laser-Ultrasound and Infrared-Spectroscopy.
